Buick Encore: Customer Information / Radio Frequency Statement
This vehicle uses license-exempt transmitters
/ receivers / systems that operate on a
radio frequency that complies with Part 15/
Part 18 of the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) rules and with Innovation,
Science and Economic Development (ISED)
Canada's license-exempt RSS(s) / RSP-100 /
ICES-GEN.
Operation is subject to the following two
conditions:
- The device may not cause harmful
interference.
- The device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may
cause undesired operation of the device.
Changes or modifications to any of these
systems by other than an authorized service
facility could void authorization to use this
equipment.
Service Manuals
Service manuals have the diagnosis and
repair information on the engine,
transmission, axle, suspension, brakes,
electrical system, steering system, body, etc...
Other information:
All audio screens have a voice recognition
icon () to launch audio voice
recognition.
If the voice icon is touched in a radio
display, the voice commands for radio and
media features are available.
“Switch to AM” : Switch bands to AM and
tune to the last AM radio station...
Hold the brake pedal down and set the
parking brake. See Parking Brake.
Move the shift lever into P (Park) by
pressing the button on the shift lever
and pushing the lever all the way
toward the front of the vehicle.
Turn the ignition off.
Leaving the Vehicle with the Engine Running
Warning
It can be dangerous to leave the vehicle
with the engine running...
Categories
If equipped with an anti-theft alarm system,
the indicator light, on the instrument panel
near the windshield, shows the status of the
system.

Off : Alarm system is disarmed.
On Solid : Vehicle is secured during the
delay to arm the system.
Fast Flast : Vehicle is unsecured. A door, the
liftgate, or the hood is open.
